Nicole "Peach" Romey is the heart and soul behind Bold Dance by Peach! Starting her dance journey at just 2 years old in Des Moines, Iowa, Peach fell in love with the art form early on. She began competing with her studio at age 6 and continued through her high school carreer. She led her high school dance team as captain and later brought her energy and leadership to Iowa State University's Dance Team, where she also served as captain and earned her degree in Psychology. Peach's dance career is filled with numerous state and national awards. She's had the joy of choreographing for various companies and schools, traveling the country for competitions and classes, and coaching a local high school dance team.
In 2006, Peach brought her passion to the Ames community, where she discovered the joy of teaching and inspiring young dancers. After 12 wonderful years of teaching, she launched Bold Dance by Peach, eager to share her fresh and innovative ideas with our dance family. Peach is dedicated to creating a warm, inclusive, and inviting environment for all children, ensuring every young dancer feels confident and empowered in their dance journey!
Miss Cassidy, originally from Davenport, IA, has been passionate about dance since she she started dancing at 5 years old. She trained at her home studio for 13 years, danced on her high school team for 4 years, and spent a year dancing at the collegiate level, where she won multiple state and national titles. Dance has always been her second home and second language, and she loves sharing her passion with young girls and boys.
Currently, Cassidy is a student at Iowa State University, where she is studying Architecture.
Dance has been a part of Miss Molly's life for over 19 years. She grew up dancing at a local studio where she trained in ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, lyrical, contemporary and modern. She was a member of her studio's competition team and the Urbandale High School Dance Team. Molly has had a variety of dance experience from competitive dance classes, teaching classes and attending countless conventions and competitions.
Molly is a third grade teacher at a local elementary school and is so excited for another year at Bold Dance!
Growing up in the Air Force, Miss Erika had the opportunity to train at many dance studios across the country, starting at age 5. Her journey into choreography began at 14 when she started assisting her competitive dance company in Eagle River, Alaska. In her sophomore year of high school, she moved to Wichita, Kansas, where she danced with one of the top-ranked competitive dance companies in the Midwest. She began her teaching career by teaching at her local recreation center, choreographing for her high school's show choir and choreographing two award winning musical productions.
Erika has since held positions as a ballet director and competition team director at multiple studios, earning several choreography awards, including a nomination for the Star Dance Alliance Choreography of the Year.
Above all, Erika's passion lies in teaching, choreography, and helping students reach their full potential.
Miss Elena started dancing when she was 3 years old and has been trained in ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, acro, modern, hip hop, musical theatre, and heels. She has trained under various broadway stars, professional cheerleaders, Rockettes, and So You Think You Can Dance participants.
Elena has taught at Bold the last two years and coached gymnastics for the last six years. She is currently studying Elementary Education at Iowa State University. She loves being a part of the Bold Dance family and sharing her love of dance!
Miss McKayla has been dancing for over 20 years. She grew up in Minnesota and was trained in high kick and jazz. She danced for a local studio,competed on her high school dance team, and participated on her college dance team.
After moving to Ames to attend After moving to Ames to attend Iowa State's College of Veterinary Medicine, McKayla joined the adult class at Bold and fell in love with the studio! Mckayla has now graduated and is so excited to stay in central Iowa and to now share her love of dance with all of the dancers at Bold! As a master of all trades, you will find Mckayla both teaching classes and working as support staff at Bold. She is so excited to be a part of this dance family!
Miss Krista grew up dancing at a studio in Pella, Iowa where she trained in jazz, ballet, tap, and pointe. She was a four-year member of her high school dance team and was a proud member of the dance team at Northwestern College where she served as captain and choreographed routines for her team. After her college career, Krista has spent time sharing her passion teaching at studios and coaching a high school dance team.
Krista is excited to continue her dance journey at Bold and to share her passion for the dance world with her students!
Miss Julianna is from Bloomington, Minnesota and has been dancing recreationally since she was two years old. She began competing when she was nine, and has been trained in tap, ballet, jazz, pointe, lyrical, contemporary, modern, hip hop, danceline, and acro. She has choreographed several award-winning pieces, and has coached gymnastics for the past three years.
This year, Julianna is studying Criminal Justice at Iowa State University. She is happy to be a part of the Bold Dance family!
Miss Sophia's dance journey began at three, growing up in Minnesota where she took every dance opportunity she could. Her background includes not just competitive team dancing, but also intensive training at the renowned Joffrey Ballet School. With six years in pre-professional ballet and contemporary dance companies, Sophia has experience in various dance genres. She is thrilled to bring her technique, knowledge and passion to Bold Dance, inspiring others on their dance journey.
Currently, Sophia balances her love for dance with academics, studying Criminal Justice with a Dance minor at Iowa State University.
Miss Delaney studied dance for 15 years in the Des Moines area. She trained in ballet, jazz, tap, pointe, lyrical, and contemporary. Dance is her outlet, and she hopes to carry the excitement and love of dance into her classes at Bold!
Outside of dance Miss Delaney enjoys spending time with her family and friends, as well as traveling to new places. Delaney is so excited and grateful to be a part of our Bold Dance Family and cannot wait to create meaningful and lasting relationships with her students!
Miss Olivia has been dancing for 16 years and grew up dancing competitively. She is from Kansas City, Missouri. Olivia has trained in ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary, pom, and acro. She was a 4-year member of her High School dance team and lead her team as a captain her senior year. She has continued her dance career and is currently a member of the Iowa State Dance Team. This year, Olivia is a sophomore, majoring in public relations and minoring in event management.
Olivia is so excited to be a part of the Bold Dance family and cannot wait to share her love of dance with her students!
Miss Kylee is originally from Orange County, California, but right now, she is in love with Ames, Iowa, where she attends Iowa State University, majoring in Athletic Training. She has been dancing and competing since the age of three, trained professionally in various styles and was on her high school's song team all four years. Kylee was a Varsity USA song instructor and is currently on the Orchesis I Dance Company and a part of DUBH at ISU.
Miss Kylee has been choreographing and teaching for five years and is so excited to work and share her passion of dance with the family at Bold Dance.
Abbie (Berryhill) Coniglio has been teaching for various organizations over the past two years and is excited to bring yoga to BOLD. She currently works full-time at Iowa State University in the Kinesiology Department as a Researcher/Project Manager and also serves part-time as one of the Winter Cheer Varsity Coaches at Ames High School.
Having grown up in Ames, Abbie has spent most of her life in the area and now resides in Ankeny with her husband and their dog, Kelso. Passionate about physical activity, she aims to offer a welcoming and immersive experience for all her students.
Cindy is our Event Planner/Support Staff Lead at Bold Dance! She not only is wonderful at what she does around the studio but also has a dance background! She started dancing at age three and continued through high school, where she was captain of her dance team her senior year. She took ballroom classes in college and after a long dance hiatus she became a participant in the Bold Dance Adult Class. She is also an incredibly proud dance mom to four Bold Dancers!
Cindy spends much of her time shuttling her five kids between activities and school. In her free time she loves a good book, crafting, a laugh with good friends and spending time with her husband. If she could, Cindy would live a the lake, her favorite place to spend time with her family!
Amy is one of our front desk/support staff here at Bold Dance. Amy danced on her high school pom team and also took contemporary/lyrical dance classes while in college. She loves what music and movement provide for the mind body connection.
Originally from Wisconsin, Amy and her husband moved to Ames in 2004. They have one child, Ethan, who is a student at Ames High. Outside of the studio, Amy loves to watch football games, take pictures, create floral arrangements, and spend time with family and friends.
Amy looks forward to creating meaningful interactions while working with all the dancers, families and staff. She is excited to be a part of the Bold Dance Staff Family.
Rachel is one of the front desk/support staff at Bold Dance by Peach. Her love for dance began in childhood, a passion she passed down to her daughter, Delaney, who has danced since she was three years old. Watching Delaney grow and recently graduate high school has been one of Rachel's greatest joys.
Outside of supporting Delaney in all her dance and softball endeavors, Rachel enjoys being creative quilting, crocheting, knitting, and painting are some of her favorite activities.
Rachel is thrilled to be a part of Bold Dance by Peach, where she finds herself in a friendly, welcoming, and creative environment. Here, everyone supports one another, fostering a community spirit that aligns perfectly with her passion for helping people. She is excited to contribute to and grow at a studio that values inclusivity, collaboration, and creativity as much as she does.
Miss Sarah has been singing and dancing ever since the age of 3. She danced at a Recreation Studio (just like you!) in Des Moines, where she studied Ballet, Pointe, Tap, and Jazz. Sarah attended Urbandale High School where she participated in Varsity Show Choir and Choir.
Sarah is graduated from Iowa State University in 2022 with a degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Music! At Iowa State, Sarah was involved in the musicals and operas.Sarah is so excited to be back at Bold Dance. Let the magic begin!
